The wine dinner on 11 Sept was a great experience for me, as the organization of the restaurant’s resources was of a very high order, with glassware, service, and setting all ideal. I felt that everyone who attended got a sense of what we were trying to accomplish the real taste of calabar.
The dinner itself was well-executed, and it was again clear that the service team’s efforts harmonized well with the kitchen’s, and that the menu was carefully developed alongside, and including, the wines. I felt that the people attending were enthusiastic about the restaurant, and impressed with the wines. They listened, asked questions, and were very generous in their praise.
There is a genuine sense of family commitment not only from Bassey and his family but also from the staff and attendees who seemed to share the family sensibility of the restaurant and its no wonder they had won numerous award for their hospitality in London. Tony Smith. Chelsea, London
